Check Your Head
Via Rammi, I have come upon new realms of fun: the 100-word challenge! The current theme is “Examine,” to which I submit this post titled “Check Your Head”.
Vivid orchids.
The smell of orange rind.
The flavor “red”.
What takes you there, to the inside?
Bitter coffee and greatness,
you went somewhere,
you went inside,
you came back different.
You need to check your head.
Check your head when you’re dancing,
Check your head when you’re writing,
Check your head when you’re nodding off at the wheel
doing 65
miles per hour
down a stretch of road
called, ever-apt,
Devil’s Slide.

Really good. I love when something creative pops out when one leasts expects it. You inspire me.
This was great. Wit and poetry together! If you’d like it to be part of the weekly round-up of the challenge, leave a comment with a link to your post here:

*hits it on something*
*cries*
Nice. You know, for whatever reason in the beginning it reminded me of that creative writing thing we did freshman year and you wrote about chapstick as a child.
I know, I’m random – but it did take me back there real quick the first three lines.
@ toobeaut: The inspiration is mutual
@velvetverbosity: thank you so much — already posted my link!
@Rammi: LMAO!!!
@La Leur: You know, for the life of me, I cannot find that piece of writing. I wish I could, because it seems like a lot of people remember it. I, however, am stuck with the actual memory of the Cherry Chapstick, and not so much what I wrote about it. Boo.
Creative, fun what writing should be. Thanks for joining we few others.
Well, that was a surprise.
I like the idea of the flavor red.
Great job drawing in the senses. I especially like the taste of red.
